Electromechanical department

Luca Pompeo, electromechanical production manager, tells us about it

I joined the company very young, in 2010, and immediately started working on electrical panels, thanks to my previous experience.
After a few years, my electronic training was precious when my field of action expanded to include electromechanics.
Today, I am responsible for a team of five people: Angela Corleo, Daniele Pasini, Daniele Sorgente, Andrea Del Giudice and Damiano Forina, with specific roles in the areas of ventilation, SCS and switchboards.
Although my role is mainly the coordination of production following the customer's order, I often also contribute directly to the assembly and production phase, a part of the work that I particularly enjoy.

How has the electromechanical department changed in recent years?

All processes have of course been optimised. The improvement of starting materials is continuous, and our experience has allowed us, over time, to select the best solutions to apply to products.
Working methods have also evolved: today, robotics are a great help to operators, both in terms of precision and physical effort

A mechanical arm to relieve the human one

Many manual processes today take advantage of robotic tools, and the latest addition is a screwdriver with a pneumatic arm that can relieve the operator by increasing productivity and accuracy. Among the advantages is the fact that this tool imports and adjusts a set of specific tightening data for each screw, measuring and applying the correct pressure force case by case.

The future of the electromechanical department at Tecsystem?

It will go and is going in the direction of robotics and technological innovation. With the launch of the TRBH ventilation system, equipped with brushless motors, we have anticipated many of the energy-saving and efficiency requirements of European standards, and we already have other innovations coming up in the electrical switchboard sector, again with a view to increasing performance, reducing costs, and efficiency.

And Luca Pompeo's future?

It is here where it is now, I would not like to be anywhere else or do anything else.
The greatest satisfaction comes from talking to colleagues. Sharing everyone's point of view, proposing new and challenging solutions are our strengths, and what makes my job really stimulating every day.
